What Does it Mean to Transfer?

Transfer – California’s Engine for Social Mobility

Research shows that not all access to education is always equal. Capable students may not be able to access education due to financial, geographical, admissions capacity, and/or personal circumstances. Transfering allowing students the ablity to move across educational institutions, thus futhering their educational goals snd changing socioeconomic status.

Matters

While transferring gives a student the ability to move from one institution to another or back and forth between institutions, articulation is the technical process through which the student’s coursework moves between or among institutions.

What is an Articulation Officer?

Articulation Officers are their campus’s sole experts on all issues related to curricular transfer across California’s many educational institutions.
